• The winner of the 2009 In Celebration of the Muse Chapbook Award is Bernice Rendrick for her collection Trainsong. The chapbook is being published by Poetry Santa Cruz and copies will be available for purchase at the 2009 In Celebration of the Muse reading on March 7 at 7:30 at the Cabrillo College Theater.

• The winner of the 2008 In Celebration of the Muse Chapbook Award was Kathleen Flowers for her collection Call It Gladness.

Submission Guidelines for the 2010 In Celebration of the Muse Chapbook Award

The 2010 In Celebration of the Muse Chapbook Award will be given to a five-year or longer Santa Cruz County resident, who read in The Muse 2009, and who has not published a full-length book of poems.

Manuscripts will be accepted between June 1st and June 30th, 2008.
Please send to Amber’s address below.
They should be 24 to 26 pages in length: poetry, prose poems, or prose short shorts.
In addition, please include a title page and contents page.
Please include your email address and phone number.
We will notify you by August 30th. Production will begin in September.
Manuscripts will not be returned.
