Solitare - The Ancient Game

...AmFADS (now defunct) released Klondike Pro in the Fall of 1996 honestly believing it to be the very first of its kind. Within less than one month we discovered this simple, apparently free, game written for CGA graphics in assembly language some 11 years prior!
...Its called "Solitare" (misspelled, we believe, to fit the 8-character limits of DOS filenames), the instructions are embedded, the graphics are truly crude (and you thot Klondike Pro graphics were coarse, eh?), the command structure is awkward (uses ONLY the keyboard, no mouse), help is virtually non-existent, screens often flash by with no possibility of being read, etc.
...But is >>WAS<< duplicate solitaire and for its day, not too badly done at that. Also, as far as we can tell, the author has NOT signed his name anywhere nor made any claims to it. AmFADS would be happy to give proper credit in this document to the author providing reasonable proof is given like source code (no, we're not trying to rip off his neat stuff :-) or whatever.
...Meanwhile, Klondike Pro players are certainly welcome to download the .exe file; yep, that's all there is. Of course, there is NO installation program for Windows-anything so just run it directly under DOS (come on, you know how :-).
...Oh yes, a couple of command notes. To "Quit" a hand you'll have to use a capital "Q" rather than a lowercase "q" and to leave the game, hit your "ESC" key.

Downloading on the Internet can be a frustrating experience.
Be patient and follow your browser's instructions carefully.
