Who are we and how can you contact us?
Poetry Santa Cruz is dedicated to nurturing the poetry community and bringing poetry to the larger community in Santa Cruz County. We run the "second Tuesday" poetry readings at Bookshop Santa Cruz, as well as coordinating poetry-related events around the county.

Ariadne's Poetry Web

Local poet Joan Zimmerman announces a website devoted to poetry, its appreciation and creation.  The site is under development, but so far it has recommendations of books on poetry reading and writing, a "recipe" for poetry writing, Phil Wagner's poem, "Stuff You Can Do At A Boring Poetry Reading," an essay on the ghazal form and a ghazal by Len Anderson.  Check it out now and come back periodically.

National Writers Union Poetry Contest 2002

The National Writers Union Local 7 Poetry Contest for 2002 will be judged by Adrienne Rich.  Submissions are due by November 30.   See the guidelines on the NWU website.
