Bill Siverly was born and grew up in Lewiston, Idaho,
and has lived in Portland, Oregon since 1972. He has published three books of poems: Parzival (1981),
Phoenix Fire (1987), and The Turn (2000). His book Clearwater Way is forthcoming from Traprock Books in 2009.
Bill taught literature, composition, and creative writing at Portland Community College for twenty-five years.
Since 2002 he has been co-editor with Michael McDowell of Windfall: A Journal of Poetry of Place.

Lisa Silverberg Starr was appointed
Poet Laureate of Rhode Island in 2007. She has lived on Block Island since 1986, where she and her
husband, Champlin, own and operate the Hygeia House, a small inn. She is the founder and director of
the Block Island Poetry Project, which has brought poets including Marie Howe, Robert Bly,
Tony Hoagland, Coleman Barks, Li-Young Lee, Kim Addonizio, Fran Quinn and Nick Flynn for weekend
workshops, primarily in April. Starr has published three full-length collections of poetry:
Days of Dogs and Driftwood (1993), This Place Here (2001), and Mad with Yellow (2008), and
her individual works appear in journals and publications around the country.

Coleman Barks is best known
for his translations of Rumi. His latest volume of his own poetry is Winter Sky: New and Selected Poems, 1968-2008.
