Dobby Gibson and
Matt Hart

Dobby Gibson was born in 1970 in
Minneapolis, Minnesota and earned a B.A. from Connecticut College in 1993 and an M.F.A. from Indiana University
in 1997. His first book of poetry, Polar, won the 2004 Beatrice Hawley Award from Alice James Books
and was a finalist for the 2006 Minnesota Book Award. His second collection of poetry is Skirmish (Graywolf, 2009).
His poetry has appeared in many publications including Ploughshares, Fence, Iowa Review, New England Review, Conduit, and jubilat. He is the recipient of a poetry fellowship from the McKnight Foundation. He currently lives in Minneapolis.
