Michael Hannon was born in Los Angeles in 1939.
After high school, he served in the Air Force for four years. He published his first book of poems
in 1972 and has authored more than fifteen poetry books, including three full-length collections: Poems & Days
(Isis Press, 1986), Ordinary Messengers (Floating Island, 1991), and Trusting Oblivion
(if publishing, 2002). He lives in Los Osos, California. Kenneth Rexroth said of Hannons work,
A very good poet indeed, and certainly one of the few Tantric writers in any language who is both profound and witty.

Patrice Vecchione is the author of
Writing and the Spiritual Life: Finding Your Voice by Looking Within and a book of poems,
Territory of Wind. For over thirty years, Patrice has taught poetry and creative writing to
adults and children through her program The Heart of the Word: Poetry and the Imagination.
The editor of many collections for adults, young adults and children, shes been called
a master of anthology. Her newest book, Faith and Doubt: An Anthology of Poems,
has been nominated as one of the best books of the year by The American Library Association.
