Week 2

...Monday Morning Muse..

Way to go Spudboy, as he scores the first 1000+ point week of the year, crushing the Pupster in his wake...and he does it without any QB points or RB points, though he does still have Curtis "my favorite" Martin going tonight.  Skinny's record of 1349 points is in jeopardy...Of course, it didn't hurt that he had 2 of his receivers going against our beloved Niner swiss cheese defense, plus Jimmy Smith scored more points than a lot of receivers will score all year...Blues Bros. edge out the last place Pecker, evening the head to head to 1-1...yesss ...only Pupster and Spuds have any active players going tonight, but with Spuds' 600 point lead I don't think he has too much to worry about...The top two QB's for the week were on the bench, with Brunell going for the bonus and all the Jimmy action on Mayors bench, and T. Banks going crazy in the same game with 5 TD's on Peckers bench...Boy did I stink in the pool this week, as several teams made nice comebacks (Oakland, Arizona, Saints, Baltimore)...could have been worse, as St. Louis almost lost as well as Tennessee...looks like it's gonna be one of those years...New England goes in to the big Apple tonight to face the Tuna, you gotta like the homeboys in this one, Jets 27 Pats 20....

...Hindsight is always 20-20...

The Jets pull off the miracle comeback, with an incredible TD catch by Chrebet to eek past the hopeless Patsies 20-19...another good Monday night game, that makes 2 in a row, though we have Dallas and the 'Skins next week...No PFL points were scored last night (no starters), as only Puppy and Spuds even had any starters going... It's gonna be a big week this coming week, as all 5 teams are out of division, this could set the trend for the rest of the season...can the South possibly continue it's dominance of the wealkly North division?...the top three teams are all in the South...or is it finally time for the North boys to stand up and be counted?...we'll know on Monday...pity the poor Niners, as they have to go to St. Louis and face the mighty Rams...could get ugly..
