Week 1
...Monday Morning Muse..
Well, here we go again, another fine season of Fantasy Football, and look who's on top. Pupster takes the early lead, though there will still be quite a few points put up tonight, as the Rams take on the Broncos in a pretty nice MNF matchup...How bout them Blues Bros., jumping out to a probable first week win!!...Nice job once again on the feast Frankie, thank you from all of us (your welcome South fools)...speaking of that, it looks like the North/South rivalry picked up right where it left off also, as Pumper should easily handle Hoops&Son to put the South up 1-0...How bout dem Cowboys, getting crushed by Duce and the Eagles, with Aikman suffering his 9th concussion of his career and Galloway going out with what appears to be a torn knee ligament...Niners D looks like it is also picking up right where it left off, with Atlanta and Morten scored on them with ease...Packer game went down to the wire, with Favre gripping his right elbow down the stretch and coming up just a little short on a pass to Schroeder that may have won the game but was instead picked off to end it...Some games could change tonight, as Trout has Warner still going, and Skinny has Faulk and Holt...says right here that the Rams run away with it tonight, as Griese is still not ready for prime time...
...Hindsight is always 20-20...
What a way to start MNF, as even Dennis Miller couldn't screw this one up...up and down the field, the Rams could not be stopped, neither could the Broncos until they turned the heat up a little bit on Griese...Warner gets 369 points for the Trout, propelling him to a come-from behind over the Blues Bros., thus delaying the new teams first victory...Puppy garners some more points from the Ram D last night to maintain his first place standing, with a 114 point lead over the second place Trout...very cheezy week, as nearly 2500 points were left on the bench, with fan favorite Blues Bros. leading the pack with a 51.52% cheeze factor (click on the cheeze button on the menu bar to see the rest)...Overall, it was a pretty exciting first week in the NFL, with several close games and some excellent QB play from some of the young kids...Looks like it might be a long season for the Niner fans among us however, as even 5 wins may be asking a lot of this young team..
