Week 16

...Monday Morning Muse..

Hope you all had a nice Christmas, hard to believe the year is almost over...Niners roll over again, giving up the lead and the game in the end to the Redskins, as Brad Johnson throws for 471 yards and 2 TD's...Pupster makes a last minute change to Elvis and jumps out to 175 point lead over Hoops&Son for the SuperBowl, Puppy still has Hall kicking, Hoops has Curtis Martin and Mare ...Pumper speared the Trout by over 300 points for the third place spot...Trout and PhilZone are in a dead nuts tie for the first pick in next years draft...There are still 6 teams with a chance in the total points race...Raiders, coming off huge win last week over division leading Bucs fall to the Bolts...they win when they shouldn't and they lose when the shouldn't...psycho team...Packers, Panthers, Giants and Lions all lose this week, NFC playoff picture is still a mess...How bout them Titans, taking it to the Jags again, and with Brunell's knee injury the door may be open for the Colts to make the SuperBowl vs. the Rams this year, wonder what kind of odds you could have gotten on that matchup in Vegas last summer?? ..Big MNF game tonight with Miami needing a win over the Jets, who beat them a few weeks ago in NY...GO FINS!

... Hindsight is ALWAYS 20-20...

Jets do the Fins again, just 15 days after beating them in NY, further clouding the NFL playoff picture...Pupster wins his second SuperBowl in 3 years, by defeating Hoops&Son 550-405...only fitting in this the year of the South, as with a Spuds victory over Trout this coming week, ALL South teams will end the season with winning records, and ALL North teams (except Hoops&Son) will finish with losing records...what's with that??...It's a good thing we like to cook, eh?...Only one more week remains in the regular season, this our 11th in the PFL, and each year seems to pass quicker than the previous...Playoff leagues will be drafted in a weeks time, and this is going to be one wild year, with all the new teams (Indy, Rams, Titans) and all the mediocre teams...it's gonna be fun...With one week to go, Puppy has a slim 157 point lead for the total points title, which would make him only the second team (since Spuds in 1993) in PFL history to claim both titles...a real battle still rages on in the rest of the positions, with a mere 210 points separating Mayor in 6th place from Pumper in 3rd...Pupster and Hoops are not safe either, a good week by someone and the whole thing could change..is this great or what?...
