Definition:
A narrowing of the vagina, often with accompanying tissue changes such as dryness,
loss of elasticity and resilience, and scar tissue. Stenosis can be a side effect
of radiation therapy or surgery. Followup use of dilators and/or sexual intercourse,
and sometimes estrogen cream is vital to prevent stenosis.
