| Endometrial Biopsy | |
If abnormal glandular cells are found in the course of an evaluation for cervical dysplasia, often the endometrium is evaluated to make sure that abnormal cells aren't coming from there. An endometrial biopsy is one way to evaluate the endometrium. In this procedure a narrow tube is inserted through the cervix, through which a tissue sample is extracted. Other evaluation methods of the endometrium include the hysteroscopy and D&C.
