Similar to carcinogenic, except that carcinogenic is used to refer to substances
or agents, and oncogenic to physiological processes, viruses, and other biological
events. Thus, tobacco is said to be carcinogenic, while a gene mutation might
be oncogenic.
Examples:
HPV is an oncogenic virus.
