(Random stuff? At Black Rock City? No way!)
Some commonplace views of city life. The little gray thing at the bottom of some frames in Horton's snout.
Left to right:
Earth Guardians, responsible for making 30,000 people pick up after themselves; A parachutist; Animal Control, responsible for keeping people dressed as animals from running amok; The Finnish Wife Carrying Contest, where the first person to carry their wife over the finish line receives a portion of the wife's weight in beer. Bonuses were awarded for carrying of husbands, and cheating; The proud victor and soon-to-be-if-not-already-alcoholic.
Center Camp, the only place where vending is allowed. Why, precisely, vending is allowed there escapes many people.
The Thunderdome, purveyor of fine dark energy and silly goth getups for many years. But there isn't really much more fun than watching two people on bungee cords whack each other with sticks. One of our campmates, Chris, knew many of these guys really well. Freak.
Our home camp for the week (complete with Mr. Stud and Tokyo Rose), the result of an experiment in shutter speeds gone horrible awry, and something entertaining we saw on the way home.
