Songspinner's Haven
Welcome to all! This webpage is mostly a place to archive my
stories and other oddities. I've been writing "fan fiction"
for something like 10 years. beginning in the "Highlander" universe and
flourishing in the "Lord of the Rings" realm with the utmost respect to
J.R.R. Tolkien and his amazing work. I read these books as a
child, read them again (and again and again - I'll put down the book
and come eat dinner, dear, honest...*)
as an adult, and now am reading them out loud to a gaggle of kids twice
a week. And the plot bunnies just keep annoying me until I
write...
In addition to stories, I spend a lot of my (not very copious) spare
time hip-deep in music, performing and researching. I
specialize in Celtic traditional vocal styles as well as bodhran
(drum) playing, Sephardic (Spanish-Jewish) vocal traditions, and am
part of a women's world-music vocal ensemble. This site will
include links to those topics that I have found useful.
Disclaimers: The
Lord of the Rings, with all its characters and places, are
the property of the estate of J.R.R. Tolkien and its licensees.
"Highlander" and its assorted characters and settings are the
property of Rysher Entertainment and Davis/Panzer Productions. "Mutant
X" and its various characters and settings belong to Tribune
Entertainment Co. The stories on this webpage were written
purely for entertainment and are not written for any sort of sale or
profit other than the satisfaction I get from feedback.
