This
was a travel day heading south from Thurso to Latheron and
along the coast to Inverness, then east to Elgin and southeast
through Keith, Hunly, Howe of Alford and onto Banchory to
the Tor-Na-Coille Hotel where we were greeted with tea or
a wee dram and where we spent two nights in Irvine country.
The Clan
attended a reception at Holly Leaf Cottage, home of David
Irvine, 26th Baron of Drum and Chief of the Name and his wife
the Baroness Caroline. This was the first opportunity for
many Clan members to see their lovely new home and beautiful
flowers, trees and garden. Then we returned to the Tor-Na-Coille
for dinner.
