The text is a list of facts about the view from Sierra Point written by Donna, with a sentence quote from the 1898 Sierra Club Journal. The book is hand written on Peter's handmade paper by Donna using her personal calligraphic face, in black ink with blue and green for titling. The opening word is cut in silhouette. The book uses our "nested accordion" structure. The outer accordion page is illustrated with hand cut silhouettes depicting a landscape of trees and the inner accordion has a 4 panel panorama painting of the view from Sierra Point. The book is panel bound in blue goat with a watercolor framed by silhouette cut outs on the front cover. The book is housed in a clamshell box covered in blue and green silk book cloth with tree imagery created by bas-relief built up on the cover. Handmade paper made by Peter Thomas. $750.
