Vaginal Cancer Stages
FIGO System

Stage 0 - Carcinoma in situ, VAIN 3, severe vaginal dysplasia. This stage is not malignant.

Stage I - Cancer is limited to the wall of the vagina (further divided into greater and less than half a cm thick).

Stage II - Cancer has extended through the vaginal wall, involving nearby tissue, but not as far as the wall of the pelvis.

Stage III - Cancer has extended to the pelvic wall and/or to the local lymph nodes.

Stage IV - Cancer has invaded the bladder or rectum and/or spread beyond the pelvic region.

IVA - Tumor has spread to the inside of the bladder or rectum.

IVB - Tumor has spread outside the pelvic area.
